So, what inspired you to start UNHINGED?
Joan:
I’ve always been fascinated by taking electronics apart
and understanding how they tick.
I grew up in Luxembourg, then studied Sound and Music Production in Germany.
After finishing my studies, I wanted to blend my love
for electronics and informatics with my passion for interactive media.
That’s when I realised the best way to do it was by creating UNHINGED.

That sounds awesome! So what exactly do you do over at UNHINGED?
Joan:
Well, it’s not so simple to pin down with just one title,
but if I had to, I’d call myself a Creative Engineer.
I use a mix of engineering tools and creative thinking to design unique interactive products and experiences.
