Description
The Job Phone is a modified payphone that lets users explore different careers. By dialing a number, they can hear short explanations about specific jobs.
After listening, users can ask their own questions through the handset, and the system responds with spoken answers.
The system is designed to be used in public spaces like schools, events or exhibitions, making career information more accessible and interactive.
Technical Implementation
At the heart of the project is an original American payphone that has been modified to house a Raspberry Pi.
The payphone's keypad and handset are connected to the Raspberry Pi, where custom code gives the right answers using a voice recognition algorithm and pre-recorded answers.
